Founder and formulator Kate Power is a certified Holistic Skincare Specialist for Women and Skincare Formulator. She launched her skincare brand Midlife Skin in 2022 with a mission to bridge the gap between natural ingredients and cosmetic science while empowering women both as consumers and employees. In 2026 she expanded the brand, opening its first storefront, Midlife Skin Boutique, in the historic Fairhaven District of Bellingham WA.
Midlife Skin intentionally maintains a small-batch approach, allowing for quality control and environmental responsibility while keeping the brand accessible and accountable to customers. Each product is made in house and reflects the exacting standards that come from creating formulations Power uses on her own skin daily.
After years of interacting with customers, Kate came to understand that people need more than just great skincare. They need an expert who can take the time to go deeper; actively listening and genuinely understanding what is going on with their skin in the broader context of their lives. Recognizing that her unique combination of skin health, formulation, and ingredient expertise puts her in the perfect position to holistically support people in achieving their skincare goals at home, she expanded her offerings to include skincare consulting. In a sea of misinformation and AI hallucinations, Kate provides sound guidance and clarity.
